# What is MOONBIT?

**MOONBIT is a Bitcoin asset issuance, trading, and management platform built on RGB++.**

MOONBIT not only supports users in issuing and trading RGB++ assets on Bitcoin L1 but also leverages the powerful capabilities of RGB++ to explore more application scenarios for BTC and BTC assets, such as:

* Issuing and trading assets on CKB, UTXO stack, and the Lightning Network
* Integrating with Babylon to enable BTC restaking scenarios
* Implementing computational mining functions similar to atomical bitwork
* Enabling various smart contract scenarios through the integration of BTC L2
